Inspirational Wednesday

It's Wednesday! I thought it was Wednesday yesterday, but it turns out to be today instead. But that's a good thing, because it means I haven't missed the most creative day of my week. It also means I now need a calendar at my side to be able to navigate through the week like a normal person. Sad.

I'm sure you know the drill by now. Every Wednesday I post a photo to help get the mid-week off with a giant creative explosion. Interpret the photo however you like; paint it, make up a story based on it, make a glove puppet...well, your imagination is your only limit!

Some people got rather excited on Twitter last week and emailed to say they had written wonderful things about the wedding couple photo featured. Many of you, like me, were just letching over the bride's shoes. All this is to be encouraged, so whatever creative endeavours you're getting up to today, bob a comment below or send me a tweet, because let's face it, every creative achievement, however small, needs celebrating in these difficult times.

This week's photo is a little selfish. I was browsing on the Daily Mail website last week (I know, I know!) and there was a photo on there of a British family standing triumphantly over a dead giraffe. They had shot it for sport. Seeing such a beautiful, peaceful creature with its long neck flopped to one side like that made me so upset that I just had to feature a happy picture of a giraffe this week:

I hope, if nothing else, this makes you smile!

Happy creating,
